The protection of your private data is an important concern to us! In the following we therefore inform you in detail about the manner in, and extent to, which we collect personal data from you and our purpose in doing so.

1. Collection of General Information
When you access our website you (by technical necessity) transmit data to our webserver via your Internet browser. While the connection is active the following data are recorded to allow communication between your Internet browser and our webserver:

  • date and time of request
  • name of requested file
  • page from which the file was requested
  • access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
  • type of browser and operating system used
  • full IP address of the requesting computer 
  • transmitted data volume

These data are briefly stored by us for reasons of technical security, in particular for fending off attacks against our webserver. It is technically not possible for us to trace these data back to individual persons.

2. Data Security
We use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) to ensure the security of your data during transmission via HTTPS.

In addition we take technical and organizational measures to secure our website against any loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data through unauthorized persons.

  • to make our online offering with its functions and contents available;
  • to answer contact inquiries and communicate with users;
  • security measures;
  • to measure the reach of our website / marketing purposes.

4. Legal Bases
We collect your usage data based on § 15 of the German Teleservices Law (TMG) or Art. 6 Section 1 Points b) or f) GDPR, depending on whether they are needed for the provision of requested services or for internal improvement work on our services.

When you contact us we process your data for the purpose of providing services, performing contractual measures or for answering inquiries in accordance with Art. 6 Section 1 Point b) GDPR.
Art. 6 Abs. 1 Point c) GDPR provides the legal basis for data processing in fulfillment of our legal obligations.

When you contact us (e.g. via the contact form or by email or telephone) we process the associated user information in order to process and respond to your request. This user information may be stored in a customer relationship management ("CRM ") or a similar request processing system. We delete incoming requests when they are no longer needed. At the same time we are required to meet our legal archiving obligations.

7. Deletion of Data
Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Data Privacy Statement any data stored by us are deleted as soon they are no longer needed for their original purpose, provided this is not opposed by a legal obligation to retain such data. If such data are not deleted, their use will be restricted. They will be locked and not processed for other purposes.

§ 257 Section 1 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) stipulates a retention period of, in general, 6 years for account books, inventories, opening balance sheets, annual financial statements, business letters, accounting vouchers etc., while § 147 Section 1 of the German Tax Code (AO) stipulates 10 years for account books, records, progress reports, accounting vouchers, business and commercial letters as well as any tax-relevant documents etc.

8. Your Rights
You have a right to information about whether and what kind of personal data relating to you we store, a right to correction, to deletion and to restriction of the processing of such data, a right to object to future processing and a right to data portability.

Notwithstanding other administrative or judicial remedies, if you, as a data subject, believe that the processing of personal data relating to you violates data privacy laws, you have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state in which you live or work or in which the suspected violation occurred.

9. Right of Objection
You may at any time object on the basis of Art. 21 GDPR to the future processing of personal data relating to you. Such an objection may in particular be directed against data processing for direct mailing purposes.

10. Right of Withdrawal

You have a right under Art. 7 Section 3 GDPR to withdraw with effect for the future any consent you may already have given.
