Dear Readers and Customers,

We didn’t really have a proper winter this year, but it has still been stormy. Hopefully you, like us, have weathered it well and got off to a good start in the New Year.

Our year began with a first, with Oppermann Suisse AG making its debut as an independent company at Swissbau in Basel. Find out about this and much more in our first newsletter for 2020.

Happy reading!

Postponed: Light + Building moves to September

image Following intensive consultation, Messe Frankfurt has decided to postpone Light + Building due to the increased spread of the coronavirus in Europe. Having almost finished our preparations for taking part in the world’s leading lighting and building technology trade fair, it came as a surprise to receive this news by email on Monday. Messe Frankfurt has pencilled in a new date for the middle/end of September 2020. We will let you know in our newsletter as soon as a precise date is fixed.

KRM-X® – the next generation

image The new KRM-X® duct smoke detector for detecting cold smoke in ventilation ducts follows on from the proven KRM®. KRM-X® has an RS485 bus interface for connecting to building automation networks, so it is especially well-suited to use in large buildings and properties. The integrated alarm threshold tracking ensures consistent sensitivity even up to 70 % contamination. All KRM-X® duct smoke sensors are VdS-approved, so they represent a standard of safety that is tested and monitored.

Oppermann Suisse AG at Swissbau

image Oppermann Suisse AG had its first opportunity to present itself to a large audience as an independent, Swiss company at Swissbau 2020 (January, 14 – 18 Basel). The specialist visitors to the trade fair were particularly interested in the new duct smoke sensor, KRM-X®. The innovation was also well-received, so orders are rapidly being dispatched straight from the Swiss warehouse.
