Dear readers, dear customers,

Once again, almost a year has passed and the contemplative holiday season has begun. The time has come to look back on the business successes and new technical achievements which we have had the pleasure to celebrate together with you.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to you all, combined with the desire and the pledge that we can anticipate another successful, exciting and good year together with you in 2016.

We wish you and those close to you a peaceful and restful holiday season and a good start in the New Year.

Have a good read!
Sincerely,
Heike Dirmeier, Brigitta Oppermann and Dierk Astfalk

A benefit for skiiers and sledders – Oppermann TGÜ monitors the new parking lounge in Ischgl

Bild The Ischgl Parking Lounge has impressive dimensions. In addition to accommodating 600 parking spaces, the building yard, the town hall and the bus terminal, it boasts an integrated 8.5-meter wide ramp to the village center. Moreover, the Federal Highway B188 has been rebuilt over a stretch of 330 meters, a roundabout has been added and a pedestrian subway put in. The building is 200 meters long and 20 meters high. The enclosed space amounts to 85,000 cubic meters. 17,300 cubic meters of concrete and 1,977 tons of reinforcement were used.

After a two-year construction period, the municipality of Ischgl has set a milestone, implementing a completely new traffic concept which benefits residents as well as skiiers. Some 33 million Euros were spent in part on building a new parking lounge with 600 parking spaces. An adjacent 130-meter long pedestrian tunnel, the Prenner Tunnel, provides a direct connection to the new 3-S-Pardatschgrat cable car.

We at Oppermann cannot keep skiiers from breaking bones on the slopes, but our sensors and control centers can provide reliable monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) emissions in all parts of the parking garage. Our installations were put into operation on schedule in November. We wish all our customers lots of skiing fun and après-ski pleasure in Ischgl.

Eight at one stroke – the OPP-SENS® HTx enthalpy sensor

Bild A sensor for eight measurement parameters:
temperature in °C und °F, relative humidity, absolute humidity,
dew point in °C und °F, mix ratio and enthalpy.
It comes in a conventional design, a bus version for Modbus or BACnet. All values are calculated and displayed directly and conveniently. And the sensor boasts an excellent cost-benefit ratio.

In our eyes, it makes a great Christmas gift for building automation. Simply install and, in the case of bus versions, integrate directly without any scaling.
